Search for the LORD and for his strength;

    continually seek him.

Remember the wonders he has performed,

    his miracles, and the rulings he has given,

you children of his servant Abraham,

Psalm 135:4  

For the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself,

Romans 11:24  You, by nature, were a branch cut from a wild olive tree. So if God is willing to do something contrary to nature by grafting you into his cultivated tree, he will be far more eager to graft the original branches back into the tree where they belong.  (see verses 11-36)
