Psalm 104:24-26 Part 2 of 2

O LORD, what a variety of things you have made!

    In wisdom you have made them all.

    The earth is full of your creatures.

Here is the ocean, vast and wide,

    teeming with life of every kind,

    both large and small.

See the ships sailing along,

    and Leviathan, which you made to play in the sea.

Psalm 107:23  

Some went off to sea in ships,

    plying the trade routes of the world.  (see verses 22-31)

Ezekiel 27:9  

"Wise old craftsmen from Gebal did the caulking.

    Ships from every land came with goods to barter with your trade."

Jonah 1:3  But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the LORD. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the LORD by sailing to Tarshish.  (see all Jonah)

Genesis 1:21  So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that scurries and swarms in the water, and every sort of bird--each producing offspring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.  (see verses 20-23)

Job 40:15  

"Take a look at Behemoth,

    which I made, just as I made you.

    It eats grass like an ox."

Job 40:18-19  

"Its bones are tubes of bronze.

    Its limbs are bars of iron.

It is a prime example of God's handiwork,

    and only its creator can threaten it.  (see verses 15-24)

Job 41:1-2  

"Can you catch Leviathan with a hook

    or put a noose around its jaw?

Can you tie it with a rope through the nose

    or pierce its jaw with a spike?"

Job 41:12  

"I want to emphasize Leviathan's limbs

    and its enormous strength and graceful form."

Job 41:33-34  

"Nothing on earth is its equal,

    no other creature so fearless.

Of all the creatures, it is the proudest.
