Psalm 104:19-23 Part 1 of 2

You made the moon to mark the seasons,

    and the sun knows when to set.

You send the darkness and it becomes night,

    when all the forest animals prowl about.

Then the young lions roar for their prey,

    stalking the food provided by God.

At dawn they slink back

    into their dens to rest.

Then people go off to their work,

    where they labor until evening.

 

You made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to set.

Genesis 1:14  Then God said, "Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years."  (see verses 14-19)

Psalm 19:6  

The sun rises at one end of the heavens

    and follows its course to the other end.

    Nothing can hide from its heat.  (see all Psalm 19)

"Come, wild animals of the field!

    Come, wild animals of the forest!

    Come and devour my people!"  (see verses 9-12)

He turns the darkness into morning

    and day into night.

He draws up water from the oceans

    and pours it down as rain on the land.

Both day and night belong to you;

"For all the animals of the forest are mine,
