Habakkuk 2:12-14 Part 1 of 2

"What sorrow awaits you who build cities with money gained through murder and corruption! Has not the LORD of Heaven's Armies promised that the wealth of nations will turn to ashes? They work so hard, but all in vain! For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD."

Isaiah 29:15  What sorrow awaits those who try to hide their plans from the LORD, who do evil deeds in the dark! "The LORD can't see us," they say. "He doesn't know what's going on!" (see verses 11-16)

Jeremiah 22:17  "But you! (Jehoiakim) You have eyes only for greed and dishonesty! You murder the innocent, oppress the poor, and reign ruthlessly." (see verses 13-19)

Ezekiel 22:27  "Your leaders are like wolves who tear apart their victims. They actually destroy people's lives for money!" (see verses 23-31)

Ezekiel 24:6  "Now this is what the Sovereign LORD says: What sorrow awaits Jerusalem, the city of murderers! She is a cooking pot whose corruption can't be cleaned out. Take the meat out in random order, for no piece is better than another. (see verses 1-8)

Ezekiel 24:9  "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: What sorrow awaits Jerusalem, the city of murderers! I myself will pile up the fuel beneath her." (see verses 9-14)

Hosea 4:2  "You make vows and break them; you kill and steal and commit adultery. There is violence everywhere--one murder after another." (see all chapter 4)

Micah 3:4  "Then you beg the LORD for help in times of trouble! Do you really expect him to answer? After all the evil you have done, he won't even look at you!" (see all chapter 3)

Micah 3:10  You are building Jerusalem on a foundation of murder and corruption.

Micah 7:2  The godly people have all disappeared; not one honest person is left on the earth. They are all murderers, setting traps even for their own brothers. (see verses 1-13)

Isaiah 1:31  The strongest among you will disappear like straw; their evil deeds will be the spark that sets it on fire. They and their evil works will burn up together, and no one will be able to put out the fire. (see verses 21-31)

Isaiah 50:11  But watch out, you who live in your own light and warm yourselves by your own fires. This is the reward you will receive from me: You will soon fall down in great torment. (see all chapter 50)

James 3:6  And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. (see verses 3-12)
