Habakkuk 2:6-8 Part 2 of 2

"But soon their captives will taunt them. They will mock them, saying, 'What sorrow awaits you thieves! Now you will get what you deserve! You've become rich by extortion, but how much longer can this go on?' Suddenly, your debtors will take action. They will turn on you and take all you have, while you stand trembling and helpless. Because you have plundered many nations, now all the survivors will plunder you. You committed murder throughout the countryside and filled the towns with violence."

Genesis 15:13-14  Then the LORD said to Abram, "You can be sure that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land, where they will be oppressed as slaves for 400 years. But I will punish the nation that enslaves them, and in the end they will come away with great wealth." 

Exodus 12:26  The LORD caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth! (see verses 31-42, also Exodus 3:19-22)

Isaiah 33:1  What sorrow awaits you Assyrians, who have destroyed others but have never been destroyed yourselves. You betray others, but you have never been betrayed. When you are done destroying, you will be destroyed. When you are done betraying, you will be betrayed. (see all chapter 33)

Jeremiah 50:17-18  "The Israelites are like sheep that have been scattered by lions. First the king of Assyria ate them up. Then King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon cracked their bones." Therefore, this is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies, the God of Israel, says: "Now I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, just as I punished the king of Assyria." (see verses 17-20)

Jeremiah 50:29  "Sent out a call for the archers to come to Babylon. Surround the city so no one can escape. Do to her as she has done to others, for she has defied the LORD, the Holy One of Israel." (see all chapters 50-51)

Obadiah 15  "The day is near when I, the LORD, will judge all godless nations! As you have done to Israel, so it will be done to you. All your evil deeds will fall back on your own heads." (see all Obadiah)

Zechariah 2:8-9  After a period of glory, the LORD of Heaven's Armies sent me (the angel in verse 3) against the nations who plundered you. For he (the LORD) said, "Anyone who harms you harms my most precious possession. I will raise my fist to crush them." Then you will know that the LORD of Heaven's Armies has sent me. (see all chapter 2)

Ezekiel 39:10  "They won't need to cut wood from the fields or forests, for these weapons will give them all the fuel they need. They will plunder those who planned to plunder them, and they will rob those who planned to rob them, says the Sovereign LORD." (see all chapter 39)

Habakkuk 2:17  "You cut down the forests of Lebanon. Now you will be cut down. You destroyed the wild animals, so now their terror will be yours. You committed murder throughout the countryside and filled the towns with violence." (see verses 12-17)
