Psalm 85:5-7

Will you be angry with us always?
    Will you prolong your wrath to all generations?
Won't you revive us again,
    so your people can rejoice in you?
Show us your unfailing love, O LORD,
    and grant us your salvation.

Psalm 85:3-4

You held back your fury.
    You kept back your blazing anger. 
Now restore us again, O God of our salvation.
    Put aside your anger against us once more.   
 
You held back your fury.

        and did not destroy them all.
    Many times he held back his anger

Psalm 85:1-2

LORD, you poured out blessings on your land!
    You restored the fortunes of Israel.
You forgave the guilt of your people--
    yes, you covered all their sins.   
 
LORD, you poured out blessings on your land! You restored the fortunes of Israel.
Deuteronomy 30:3  "... Then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes. He will have mercy on you and gather you back from all the nations where he has scattered you." (see verses 1-10)
Jeremiah 30:18  This is what the LORD says:
    "When I bring Israel home again from captivity
        and restore their fortunes,
    Jerusalem will be rebuilt on its ruins,
        and the palace reconstructed as before." (see verses 18-24)
Jeremiah 33:11  "... The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the LORD. They will sing,

Psalm 84:11-12

For the LORD God is our sun and our shield.
    He gives us grace and glory.
The LORD will withhold no good thing
    from those who do what is right.
O LORD of Heaven's Armies,
    what joy for those who trust in you.   
 
For the LORD God is our sun
Isaiah 9:2 
    The people who walk in darkness
        will see a great light.
    For those who live in a land of deep darkness,

Isaiah 60:19-20  
    "No longer will you need the sun to shine by day,
        nor the moon to give its light by night,
    for the LORD your God will be your everlasting light,
        and your God will be your glory.

Psalm 84:9-10

O God, look with favor upon the king, our shield!
    Show favor to the one you have anointed.
A single day in your courts
    is better than a thousand anywhere else!
I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God
    than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.

Psalm 84:7-8

They will continue to grow stronger,
    and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem.
O LORD God of Heaven's Armies, hear my prayer.

    "The righteous keep moving forward,
        and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger."

Psalm 84:5-6 Part 2 of 2

What joy for those whose strength comes from the LORD,
    who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
When they walk through the Valley of Weeping,
    it will become a place of refreshing springs.
    The autumn will clothe it with blessings.

        to enter the courts of the LORD.
