Psalm 85:3-4

You held back your fury.
    You kept back your blazing anger. 
Now restore us again, O God of our salvation.
    Put aside your anger against us once more.   
 
You held back your fury.
Psalm 78:38 
    Yet he was merciful and forgave their sins
        and did not destroy them all.
    Many times he held back his anger
        and did not unleash his fury!  (see all Psalm 78)
Psalm 106:23  
    So he declared he would destroy them.
        But Moses, his chosen one, 
            stepped between the LORD and the people.
        He begged him to turn from his anger

Daniel 9:16  "In view of all your faithful mercies, Lord, please turn your furious anger away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain. All the neighboring nations mock Jerusalem and your people because of our sins and the sins of our ancestors."  (see verses 1-23)

Exodus 32:12  "Why let the Egyptians say, 'Their God rescued them with the evil intention of slaughtering them in the mountains and wiping them from the face of the earth'? Deuteronomy 13:17  "Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a large nation, just as he swore to your ancestors."  (see all chapter 13)

Now restore us again, 
Psalm 71:20  
    You have allowed me to suffer much hardship,
        but you will restore me to life again

Psalm 80:19  
    Turn us again to yourself, O LORD God of Heaven's Armies.
        Make your face shine down on us.

O God of our salvation. Put aside your anger against us once more.
