Psalm 82:3-4

    "Give justice to the poor and the orphan;

        uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.

    Rescue the poor and helpless;

        deliver them from the grasp of evil people."

Deuteronomy 24:17  "True justice must be given to foreigners living among you and to orphans, and you must never accept a widow's garment as security for her debt." (see verses 10-18)

Psalm 140:12 

    But I know the LORD will help those they persecute;

Jeremiah 5:28  "They are fat and sleek, and there is no limit to their wicked deeds. They refuse to provide justice to orphans and deny the rights of the poor." (see verses 20-31)

Jeremiah 22:16  

    "He gave justice and help to the poor and needy,

        and everything went well for him.

    Isn't that what it means to know me?"

Job 29:12  

    "For I assisted the poor in their need

        and the orphans who required help." (see verses 11-17)

Psalm 72:12-14  

    He will rescue the poor when they cry to him;

        he will help the oppressed, who have no one to defend them.

    He feels pity for the weak and needy,

        and he will rescue them.

    He will redeem them from oppression and violence,

        for their lives are precious to him. (see all Psalm 72)

Proverbs 31:8-9  

    Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;

        ensure justice for those being crushed.

    Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,

        and see that they get justice. (see verses 1-9)

Isaiah 11:4  

    He will give justice to the poor

        and make fair decisions for the exploited.

    The earth will shake at the force of his word,

        and one breath from his mouth will destroy the wicked.

Jeremiah 22:2-3   " 'Listen to this message from the LORD, you king of Judah, sitting on David's throne. Let your attendants and your people listen, too. This is what the LORD says: Be fair-minded and just. Do what is right! Help those who have been robbed; rescue them from their oppressors. Quit your evil deeds! Do not mistreat foreigners, orphans, and widows. Stop murdering the innocent!' " (see verses 1-9)
