Psalm 82:1-2 Part 1 of 2

    God presides over heaven's court;

        he pronounces judgment on the heavenly beings:

            (angelic creatures, gods of the nations,

            high officials or administrators of justice)

    "How long will you hand down unjust decisions

        by favoring the wicked?"

 

God presides over heaven's court;

Job 1:6  One day the members of the heavenly court came to present themselves before the LORD, and the Accuser, Satan, came with them. (see verses 6-22)

Job 2:1  One day the members of the heavenly court came again to present themselves before the LORD, and the Accuser, Satan, came with them. (see verses 1-10)

Psalm 7:7-8  

    Gather the nations before you.

        Rule over them from on high.

    The LORD judges the nations.

        Declare me righteous, O LORD, for I am innocent, O Most High!

Isaiah 3:13-14

    The LORD takes his place in court

        and presents his case against his people.

    The LORD comes forward to pronounce judgment

        on the elders and rulers of his people:

    "You have ruined Israel, my vineyard.

        Your houses are filled with things stolen from the poor."

Isaiah 66:16

    The LORD will punish the world by fire

        and by his sword.

    He will judge the earth,

        and many will be killed by him. (see all chapter 66)

Joel 3:12 

    "Let the nations be called to arms.

        Let them march to the valley of Jehoshaphat.

    There I, the LORD, will sit

        to pronounce judgment on them all." (see verses 9-16)

 

he pronounces judgment on the heavenly beings: 

Job 21:22  

    "But who can teach a lesson to God,

        since he judges even the most powerful?" (see all chapter 21)

Psalm 94:23

     God will turn the sins of evil people back on them.

        He will destroy them for their sins.

        The LORD our God will destroy them. (see all Psalm 94)

Romans 11:34

    For who can know the LORD's thoughts?

         Who knows enough to give him advice? (see verses 33-36)

Job 4:18-19

    "If God does not trust his own angels

        and has charged his messengers with foolishness,

    how much less will he trust people made of clay!

        They are made of dust, crushed as easily as a  moth."
