Malachi 4:5-6

"Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the LORD arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse."

"Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the LORD arrives."
1 Kings 17:1  Now Elijah, who was from Tishbe in Gilead, told King Ahab, "As surely as the LORD, the God of Israel, lives--the God I serve--there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word!" (see 1 Kings 17:1-19:21, also 21:17-29, 2 Kings 2:11)
Matthew 11:13-14  "Before John came, all the prophets and the law of Moses looked forward to this present time. And if you are willing to accept what I say, he is Elijah, the one the prophets said would come." (see verses 2-19)
Joel 2:30-31  "And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth--blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and terrible day of the LORD arrives." (see verses 28-32, also 2:1-11)
Matthew 24:29
"Immediately after the anguish of those days,
the sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light,
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken."
(see all chapter 24, also all Mark chapter 13)

"His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers."
Luke 1:17  "He will be a man with the spirit and power of Elijah. He will prepare the people for the coming of the Lord. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly." (see verses 8-25, also Matthew 17:11-13)

"Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse."
Deuteronomy 11:26-28  "Look, today I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse! You will be blessed if you obey the command of the LORD your God that I am giving you today. But you will be cursed if you reject the commands of the LORD your God and turn away from him and worship gods you have never known." (see all chapter 11)
Joshua 6:17  "Jericho and everything in it must be completely destroyed as an offering to the LORD. Only Rahab the prostitute and the others in her house will be spared, for she protected our spies." (see all chapter 6)
Joshua 23:15-16  "But as surely as the LORD your God has given you the good things he promised, he will also bring disaster on you if you disobey him. He will completely destroy you from this good land he has given you. If you break the covenant of the LORD your God by worshiping and serving other gods, his anger will burn against you, and you will quickly vanish from the good land he has given you." (see all chapter 23)
Revelation 19:15  From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. (see verses 11-21)
