Do to them as you did to the Midianites
and as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.
They were destroyed at Endor,
and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil.
They were destroyed at Endor, and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil.
2 Kings 9:36-37 When they returned and told Jehu, he stated, "This fulfills the message from the LORD, which he spoke through his servant Elijah from Tishbe: 'At the plot of land in Jezreel, dogs will eat Jezebel's body. Isaiah 5:25
That is why the LORD's anger burns against his people,
and why he has raised his fist to crush them.
The mountains tremble,
and the corpses of his people litter the streets like garbage.
But even then the LORD's anger is not satisfied.

Jeremiah 8:1-2 "In that day," says the LORD, "the enemy will break open the graves of the kings and officials of Judah, and the graves of the priests, prophets, and common people of Jerusalem. Their bones will not be gathered up again or buried but will be scattered on the ground like manure." (see verses 1-3)
Jeremiah 9:22 This is what the LORD says:
"Bodies will be scattered across the fields like clumps of manure,
like bundles of grain after the harvest.
No one will be left to bury them." (see all chapter 9)
Jeremiah 16:3-4 "For this is what the LORD says about the children born here in this city and about their mothers and fathers: They will die from terrible diseases. (see all chapter 16)
Jeremiah 25:33 In that day those the LORD has slaughtered will fill the earth from one end to the other. No one will mourn for them or gather up their bodies to bury them. They will be scattered on the ground like manure. (see verses 30-38)
Zephaniah 1:17
