Psalm 83:2-4 Part 1 of 2

    Don't you hear the uproar of your enemies?

        Don't you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up?

    They devise crafty schemes against your people;

        they conspire against your precious ones.

    "Come," they say, "let us wipe out Israel as a nation.

        We will destroy the very memory of its existence."       

Don't you hear the uproar of your enemies?

Psalm 2:1  

    Why are the nations so angry?

        Why to they waste their time with futile plans? (see all Psalm 2)

Psalm 59:14  

    My enemies come out at night,

        snarling like vicious dogs

        as they prowl the streets. (see all Psalm 59)

Isaiah 17:12  

    Listen! The armies of many nations

        roar like the roaring of the sea.

    Hear the thunder of the mighty forces

        as they rush forward like thundering waves. (see verses 12-14)

 

Don't you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up? 

Judges 6:1-2  The Israelites did evil in the LORD's sight. So the LORD handed them over to the Midianites for seven years. The Midianites were so cruel that the Israelites made hiding places for themselves in the mountains, caves, and strongholds. (see chapters 6-8)

 

They devise crafty schemes against your people; 

Exodus 1:10  "We must make a plan to keep them from growing even more. If we don't, and if war breaks out, they will join our enemies and fight against us. Then they will escape from the country." (see all chapter 1)

Psalm 31:13  

    I have heard many rumors about me,

        and I am surrounded by terror.

    My enemies conspire against me,

        plotting to take my life. (see verses 1-18)

Psalm 64:1-2  

    O God, listen to my complaint.

        Protect my life from my enemies' threats.

    Hide me from the plots of this evil mob,

        from this gang of wrongdoers. (see all Psalm 64)

Psalm 71:10  

    For my enemies are whispering against me.

        They are plotting together to kill me. (see all Psalm 71)

Jeremiah 20:10  

    I have heard many rumors about me.

        They call me "The Man Who Lives in Terror."

    They threaten, "If you say anything, we will report it."

        Even my old friends are watching me, waiting for a fatal slip.
