Psalm 103:13-14 Part 1 of 2

The LORD is like a father to his children,

    tender and compassionate to those who fear him.

For he knows how weak we are;

    he remembers we are only dust.

 

The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.

Malachi 3:16-18  Then those who feared the LORD spoke with each other, and the LORD listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name.

    "They will be my people," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies. "On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child. Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not."  (see verses 13-18)

1 John 3:1-2  See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don't recognize that we are God's children because they don't know him. Dear friends, we are already God's children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.  (see all chapter 3)

 

For he knows how weak we are; 

Psalm 119:73  

You made me; you created me.

    Now give me the sense to follow your commands.  (see verses 73-80)

Psalm 139:13-16  

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body

    and knit me together in my mother's womb.

Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!

    Your workmanship is marvelous--how well I know it.

You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,

    as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.

You saw me before I was born.

    Every day of my life is recorded in your book.

Every moment was laid out

Isaiah 29:16  

How foolish can you be?

    He is the Potter, and he is certainly greater than you, the clay!

Should the created thing say of the one who made it, 

    "He didn't make me"?

Does a jar ever say,

    "The potter who made me is stupid"?  (see all chapter 29)
