Psalm 103:15-18 Part 1 of 2

Our days on earth are like grass;

    like wildflowers, we bloom and die.

The wind blows, and we are gone--

    as though we had never been here.

But the love of the LORD remains forever

    with those who fear him.

His salvation extends to the children's children

    of those who are faithful to his covenant,

    of those who obey his commandments!

Psalm 37:2  

For like grass, they soon fade away.

    Like spring flowers, they soon wither.  (see all Psalm 37)

Psalm 90:5-6  

You sweep away people like dreams that disappear.

    They are like grass that springs up in the morning.

In the morning it blooms and flourishes,

    but by evening it is dry and withered.  (see all Psalm 90)

Psalm 102:11  

My life passes as swiftly as the evening shadows.

    I am withering away like grass.  (see all Psalm 102)

Isaiah 40:6  A voice said, "Shout!"

    I asked, "What should I shout?"

"Shout that people are like the grass.

    Their beauty fades as quickly

    as the flowers in a field."

Job 14:2  

We blossom like a flower and then wither.

    Like a passing shadow, we quickly disappear.  (see all chapter 14)

James 1:10-11  And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field. The hot sun rises and the grass withers; the little flower droops and falls, and its beauty fades away. In the same way, the rich will fade away with all their achievements.

    beneath the breath of the LORD.

    And so it is with people."
