Psalm 103:13-14 Part 2 of 2

The LORD is like a father to his children,

    tender and compassionate to those who fear him.

For he knows how weak we are;

    he remembers we are only dust.

Genesis 2:7  Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man became a living person.  (see all chapter 2)

Genesis 3:19  

"By the sweat of your brow

    will you have food to eat

until you return to the ground 

    from which you were made.

for you were made from dust,

    and to dust you will return."  (see all chapter 3)

Job 4:18-19  

"If God does not trust his own angels 

    and has charged his messenger with foolishness,

how much less will he trust people made of clay!

     They are made of dust, crushed as easily as a moth."  (see all chapter 4)

Job 10:8-9  

" 'You formed me with your hands; you made me,

    yet now you completely destroy me.

Remember that you made me from dust--

    will you turn me back to dust so soon?' "  (see all chapter 10)

Job 34:14-15  

"If God were to take back his spirit

    and withdraw his breath,

all life would cease,

    and humanity would turn again to dust."  (see all chapter 34)

Ecclesiastes 12:6-7  Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Don't wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well. For then the dust will return to the earth and the spirit will return to God who gave it.  (see all chapter 12)
