Psalm 105:42-43

For he remembered his sacred promise
    to his servant Abraham.
So he brought his people out of Egypt with joy,
    his chosen ones with rejoicing.

For he remembered his sacred promise to his servant Abraham.
Genesis 12:1-3  The LORD said to Abram, "Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father's family and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you."  (see verses 1-9)
Genesis 13:15-16  "I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession. And I will give you so many descendants that, like the dust of the earth, they cannot be counted! Go and walk through the land in every direction, for I am giving it to you."
(see verses 14-18)
Genesis 15:13-14  Then the LORD said to Abram, "You can be sure that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land, where they will be oppressed for 400 years. But I will punish the nation that enslaves them, and in the end they will come away with great wealth."
Genesis 15:16  After four generations your descendants will return here to this land, for the sins of the Amorites do not yet warrant their destruction."  (see all chapter 15)

So he brought his people out of Egypt with joy, his chosen ones with rejoicing.
Exodus 15:1-2  Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD:
    "I will sing to the LORD,
        for he has triumphed gloriously;
    he has hurled both horse and rider
        into the sea.
    The LORD is my strength and my song;
        he has given me victory.
    This is my God, and I will praise him--
        my father's God, and I will exalt him!"  (see verses 1-21)
Psalm 106:10-12
So he rescued them from their enemies
    and redeemed them from their foes.
Then the water returned and covered their enemies;
    not one of them survived.
Then his people believed his promises.
    Then they sang his praise.  (see all Psalm 106)
