Psalm 106:6-7 Part 1 of 2

Like our ancestors, we have sinned.
We have done wrong! We have acted wickedly!
Our ancestors in Egypt
were not impressed by the LORD's miraculous deeds.
They soon forgot his many acts of kindness to them.
Instead, they rebelled against him at the Red Sea.

Like our ancestors, we have sinned. We have done wrong! We have acted wickedly!
Ezra 9:7  "From the days of our ancestors until now, we have been steeped in sin. That is why we and our kings and our priests have been at the mercy of the pagan kings of the land. We have been killed, captured, robbed, and disgraced, just as we are today."  (see all chapter 9)
Psalm 78:8
Then they will not be like their ancestors--
    stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful,
refusing to give their hearts to God.
Psalm 78:57
They turned back and were as faithless as their parents.
They were as undependable as a crooked bow.  (see all Psalm 78)
Jeremiah 3:25
"Let us now lie down in shame
    and cover ourselves with dishonor,
for we and our ancestors have sinned
    against the LORD our God.
From our childhood to this day
we have never obeyed him."  (see all chapter 3)
Jeremiah 11:10  "They have returned to the sins of their ancestors. They have refused to listen to me and are worshiping other gods. Israel and Judah have both broken the covenant I made with their ancestors."
(see all chapter 11)
Ezekiel 20:21  "But their children, too, rebelled against me. They refused to keep my decrees and follow my regulations, even though obedience would have given them life. And they also violated my Sabbath days. So again I threatened to pour out my fury on them in the wilderness."
(see all chapter 20)
Zechariah 1:4  "Don't be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, 'This is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies says: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practices.' "  (see verses 1-6)
Romans 3:9-11  Well then, should we conclude that we Jews are better than others? No, not al all, for we have already shown that all people, whether Jews or Gentiles, are under the power of sin. As the Scriptures say,
    "No one is righteous--
        not even one.
    No one is truly wise;
no one is seeking God."  (Psalm 14:1-3; 53:1-3)
Romans 3:23  For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard.  (see all chapter 3)
Galatians 3:22  But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God's promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.
(see all chapter 3)
