Psalm 106:6-7 Part 2 of 2

Like our ancestors, we have sinned.
    We have done wrong! We have acted wickedly!
Our ancestors in Egypt
    were not impressed by the LORD's miraculous deeds.
They soon forgot his many acts of kindness to them.
    Instead, they rebelled against him at the Red Sea.

Our ancestors in Egypt were not impressed by the LORD's miraculous deeds. They soon forgot his many acts of kindness to them. Instead, they rebelled against him at the Red Sea.
Exodus 14:10-12  As Pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtaking them. They cried out to the LORD, and they said to Moses, "Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? Weren't there enough graves for us in Egypt? What have you done to us? Why did you make us leave Egypt? Didn't we tell you this would happen while we were still in Egypt? We said, 'Leave us alone! Let us be slaves to the Egyptians. It is better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!' "  [see all chapter 14]
Deuteronomy 4:9  "But watch out! Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren."  [see verses 1-40]
Deuteronomy 32:18-20
"You neglected the Rock who had fathered you;
    you forgot the God who had given you birth.
The LORD saw this and drew back,
    provoked to anger by his own sons and daughters.
He said, 'I will abandon them;
    then see what becomes of them.
For they are a twisted generation,
    children without integrity.' "  [see all chapter 32]
Judges 3:7  The Israelites did evil in the LORD's sight. They forgot about the LORD their God, and they served the images of Baal and the Asherah poles.  [see verses 1-11]
Judges 8:33-34  As soon as Gideon died, the Israelites prostituted themselves by worshiping the images of Baal, making Baal-berith ["Baal of the covenant"] their god. They forgot the LORD their God, who had rescued them from all their enemies surrounding them. Nor did they show any loyalty to the family of Jerub-baal (that is, Gideon), despite all the good he had done for Israel.  [See chapters 5-8]
Psalm 78:10-12
They did not keep God's covenant
    and refused to live by his instructions.
They forgot what he had done--
    the great wonders he had shown them,
the miracles he did for their ancestors
    on the plain of Zoan in the land of Egypt.  [see all Psalm 78]
