Luke 7:36-39

One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to have dinner with him, so Jesus went to his home and sat down to eat. When a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there, she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She's a sinner!"

One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to have dinner with him, so Jesus went to his home and sat down to eat.
Luke 11:37  As Jesus was speaking, one of the Pharisees invited him home for a meal. So he went and took his place at the table.
Luke 14:1  One Sabbath day Jesus went to eat dinner in the home of a leader of the Pharisees, and the people were watching him closely.

When a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there, she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume.
John 12:3a  Then Mary took a twelve-ounce jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard, ...

Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them.
John 12:3b  ... and she anointed Jesus' feet with it, wiping his feet with her hair.

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet,..."
Deuteronomy 18:15  Moses continued, "The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him."
Luke 7:16  Great fear swept the crowd, and they praised God, saying, "A mighty prophet has risen among us," and "God has visited his people today."
Luke 24:19  "What things?" Jesus asked. "The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth," they said. "He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people."
John 6:14  When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, (see verses 10-13) they exclaimed, "Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!" (also John 7:40)

"...he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She's a sinner!"
Luke 7:44-47  Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, "Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn't offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You didn't greet me with a kiss, but from the time I first came in, she has not stopped kissing my feet. You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume. I tell you, her sins--and they are many--have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only a little love."
