Luke 8:9-10 Part 1 of 2

His disciples asked him what this parable meant. He replied, "You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of God. But I use parables to teach the others so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled: 'When they look, they won't really see. When they hear, they won't understand.' "

"You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of God."

Matthew 13:11  "You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not."

Mark 4:11  He replied, "You are permitted to understand the secret of the Kingdom of God. But I use parables for everything I say to outsiders, ...

Matthew 11:25-26  At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: "O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!"

Matthew 16:16-17  Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Jesus replied, "You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being."

John 6:65  Then he said, "That is why I said that people can't come to me unless the Father gives them to me." (see verses 61-65)

Romans 16:25-27  Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my Good News says. This message about Jesus Christ has revealed his plan for you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the beginning of time. But now as the prophets foretold and as the eternal God has commanded, this message is made to all Gentiles everywhere, so that they too might believe and obey him. All glory to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, forever. Amen.

1 Corinthians 2:10  But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God's deep secrets. (see verses 11-16)

1 John 2:20  But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and all of you know the truth.

1 John 2:27  But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true--it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
