Luke 8:16-18

"No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all. So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them."

Mark 4:21a  Then Jesus asked them, "Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of course not!"

Matthew 10:26  "But don't be afraid of those who threaten you. For the time is coming when everything that is covered will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all." (see also Luke 12:2)

1 Timothy 5:24-25  Remember, the sins of some people are obvious, leading them to certain judgment. But there are others whose sins will not be revealed until later. In the same way, the good deeds of some people are obvious. And the good deeds done in secret will someday come to light.

Mark 4:23-24  "Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand. "Then he added, "Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given--and you will receive even more."

Mark 4:25  "To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away."

Luke 19:26  " 'Yes,' the king replied, 'and to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who do nothing, even what they have will be taken away.' "
