"A period of seventy sets of seven has been decreed for your people and
your holy city to finish their rebellion, to put an end to their sin, to
atone for their guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to
confirm the prophetic vision, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.
Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of
seven will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem
until a ruler--the Anointed One--comes. Jerusalem will be rebuilt with
streets and strong defenses, despite the perilous times."

Isaiah 48:1-2 "Listen to me, O family of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel and born into the family of Judah. Listen, you who take oaths in the name of the LORD and call upon the God of Israel. Isaiah 52:1 Wake up, wake up, O Zion! Clothe yourself with strength. Put on your beautiful clothes, O holy city of Jerusalem, for unclean and godless people will enter your gates no longer. (see verses 1-12, also Revelation 21:27)
"to finish their rebellion, to put an end to their sin, to atone for their guilt,"
Exodus 32:34-35 "Now go, lead the people to the place I told you about. Look! My angel will lead the way before you. And when I come to call the people to account, I will certainly hold them responsible for their sins." Then the LORD sent a great plague upon the people because they had worshiped the calf Aaron had made. (see all chapter 32)
Numbers 25:7-9 When Phinehas son of Eleazar and grandson of Aaron the priest saw this (see verse 6), he jumped up and left the assembly. He took a spear and rushed after the man into his tent. Phinehas thrust the spear all the way through the man's body and into the woman's stomach. So the plague against the Israelites was stopped, but not before 24,000 people had died. (see all chapter 25)
"to bring in everlasting righteousness, to confirm the prophetic vision, and to anoint the Most Holy Place."
Isaiah 56:1 This is what the LORD says: "Be just and fair to all. Do what is right and good, for I am coming soon to rescue you and to display my righteousness among you." (see verses 1-8)
Jeremiah 23:5-6 "For the time is coming," says the LORD, "when I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David's line. He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land. And this will be his name: 'The LORD Is Our Righteousness.' In that day Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety." (see verses 1-8)
Hebrews 9:11-12 So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world. With his own blood--not the blood of goats and calves--he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever. (see verses 11-15)
