Daniel 9:4-6 Part 2 of 2

I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "O Lord, you are a great and awesome God! You always fulfill your covenant and keep your promises of unfailing love to those who love you and obey your commands. But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. We have refused to listen to your servants the prophets who spoke on your authority to our kings and princes and ancestors and to all the people of the land."

"We have refused to listen to your servants the prophets who spoke on your authority to our kings and princes and ancestors and to all the people of the land."
2 Chronicles 36:16  But the people mocked these messengers of God and despised their words. They scoffed at the prophets until the LORD's anger could no longer be restrained and nothing could be done. (see verses 11-21)
Jeremiah 44:4-5  "Again and again I sent my servants, the prophets, to plead with them, 'Don't do these horrible things that I hate so much.' But my people would not listen or turn back from their wicked ways. They kept on burning incense to these gods." (see all chapter 44)
Jeremiah 25:4  "Again and again the LORD has sent you his servants, the prophets, but you have not listened or even paid attention." (see verses 1-14)
Deuteronomy 32:15-18
"But Israel soon became fat and unruly;
    the people grew heavy, plump, and stuffed!
Then they abandoned the God who had made them;
    they made light of the Rock of their salvation.
They stirred up his jealousy by worshiping foreign gods;
    they provoked his fury with detestable deeds.
They offered sacrifices to demons, which are not God,
    to gods they had not known before,
to new gods only recently arrived,
    to gods their ancestors had never feared.
You neglected the Rock who had fathered you;
    you forgot the God who had given you birth." (see verses 15-33)
2 Chronicles 29:6-7  "Our ancestors were unfaithful and did what was evil in the sight of the LORD our God. They abandoned the LORD and his dwelling place; they turned their backs on him. They also shut the doors to the Temple's entry room, and they snuffed out the lamps. They stopped burning incense and presenting burnt offerings at the sanctuary of the God of Israel. (see verses 3-17)
James 5:10  For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the LORD. (see verses 10-11)
Revelation 10:7  "When the seventh angel blows his trumpet, God's mysterious plan will be fulfilled. It will happen just as he announced it to his servants the prophets." (see all chapter 10)
