Daniel 9:26-27 Part 1 of 3

"After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the anointed one will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end. The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds, he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him."

"After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the anointed one will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing,"
Isaiah 53:8  Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. (see all chapter 53)
Psalm 88:5  They have left me among the dead, and I lie like a corpse in a grave. I am forgotten, cut off from your care. (see all Psalm 88)
Matthew 16:21  From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead.
Matthew 24:2  But he responded, "Do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth, they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!" (see all chapter 24, also Mark 13 and Luke 19:41-44)
Luke 24:25-27  Then Jesus said to them, "You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures. Wasn't it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?" The Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. (see all chapter 24)
Acts 8:32-33  The passage of Scripture he had been reading was this: "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter. And as a lamb is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. He was humiliated and received no justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth." (see verses 26-40, also Isaiah 53:7-8)

"and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood,"
Isaiah 28:17  "I will test you with the measuring line of justice and the plumbline of righteousness. Since your refuge is made of lies, a hailstorm will knock it down. Since it is made of deception, a flood will sweep it away." (see verses 14-22)
Daniel 11:10  However, the sons of the king of the north will assemble a mighty army that will advance like a flood and carry the battle as far as the enemy's fortress. (see verses 1-12)
Nahum 1:7-8  The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. But he will sweep away his enemies in an overwhelming flood. He will pursue his foes into the darkness of night. (see all chapter 1)
