Luke 11:37-41 Part 2 of 3

As Jesus was speaking, one of the Pharisees invited him home for a meal. So he went in and took his place at the table. His host was amazed to see that he sat down to eat without first performing the hand-washing ceremony required by Jewish custom. Then the Lord said to him, "You Pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy--full of greed and wickedness! Fools! Didn't God make the inside as well as the outside? So clean the inside by giving gifts to the poor, and you will be clean all over."

"Fools! Didn't God make the inside as well as the outside?"
Proverbs 1:7  Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Proverbs 12:15  Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others.
Proverbs 13:19  It is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them.
Proverbs 13:20  Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.
Proverbs 14:9  Fools make fun of guilt, but the godly acknowledge it and seek reconciliation.
Proverbs 18:2  Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.
Proverbs 18:7  The mouths of fools are their ruin; they trap themselves with their lips.
Proverbs 29:11  Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back.
Ecclesiastes 10:5-6  There is another evil I have seen under the sun. Kings and rulers make a grave mistake when they give great authority to foolish people and low positions to people of proven worth.
