Luke 12:1-3 Part 1 of 2

Meanwhile, the crowds grew until thousands were milling about and stepping on each other. Jesus turned first to his disciples and warned them, "Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees--their hypocrisy. The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and whatever you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!"

Meanwhile, the crowds grew until thousands were milling about and stepping on each other.
Luke 11:29  As the crowd pressed in on Jesus, he said, "This evil generation keeps asking me to show them a miraculous sign. But the only sign I will give them is the sign of Jonah."

Jesus turned first to his disciples and warned them, "Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees--their hypocrisy."
Matthew 16:6  "Watch out!" Jesus warned them. "Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."
Matthew 16:11-12  "Why can't you understand that I'm not talking about bread? So again I say, 'Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.' "
Matthew 23:28  "Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inside your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness."
Mark 8:15  As they were crossing the lake, Jesus warned them, "Watch out! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and of Herod."
Mark 12:14-15  Later the leaders sent some Pharisees and supporters of Herod to trap Jesus into saying something for which he could be arrested. "Teacher," they said, "we know how honest you are. You are impartial and don't play favorites. You teach the way of God truthfully. Now tell us--is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay them, or shouldn't we?" Jesus saw through their hypocrisy and said, "Why are you trying to trap me? Show me a Roman coin, and I will tell you."
1 Corinthians 5:6-8  Your boasting about this is terrible. Don't you realize that this sin is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough? Get rid of the old "yeast" by removing this wicked person from among you. Then you will be like a fresh batch of dough made without yeast, which is what you really are. Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us. So let us celebrate the festival, not with the old bread of wickedness and evil, but with the new bread of sincerity and truth.
Galatians 5:9  This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough!
