Psalm 107:17-19 Part 2 of 3

Some were fools; they rebelled
    and suffered for their sins.
They couldn't stand the thought of food,
    and they were knocking on death's door.
"LORD, help!" they cried in their trouble,
    and he saved them from their distress.

Leviticus 26:14-16  "However, if you do not listen to me or obey all these commands, and if you break my covenant by rejecting my decrees, treating my regulations with contempt, and refusing to obey my commands, I will punish you. I will bring sudden terrors upon you--wasting diseases and burning fevers that will cause your eyes to fail and your life to ebb away. You will plant your crops in vain because your enemies will eat them."

Ezekiel 4:17  "Lacking food and water, people will look at one another in terror, and they will waste away under their punishment."  (see verses 16-17)
Ezekiel 24:23  "Your heads will remain covered, and your sandals will not be taken off. You will not mourn or weep, but you will waste away because of your sins. You will groan among yourselves for all the evil you have done."

Job 3:24  
"I cannot eat for sighing;

"Don't people complain about unsalted food?
    Does anyone want the tasteless white of an egg?
My appetite disappears when I look at it;
    I gag at the thought of eating it!"  (see all chapter 6)
Job 33:20  
"They lose their appetite
    even for the most delicious food."  (see verses 19-22)
