Psalm 107:4-9 Part 1 of 3

Some wandered in the wilderness,

    lost and homeless.

Hungry and thirsty,

    they nearly died.

"LORD, help!" they cried in their trouble,

    and he rescued them from their distress.

He led them straight to safety,

    to a city where they could live.

Let them praise the LORD for his great love 

    and for the wonderful things he has done for them.

For he satisfies the thirsty

    and fills the hungry with good things.

Exodus 15:22  Then Moses led the people of Israel away from the Red Sea, and they moved out into the desert of Shur. They traveled in this desert for three days without finding any water.  (see verses 22-27)

Exodus 16:3  "If only the LORD had killed us back in Egypt," they moaned. "There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death."  (see verses 1-16)

Numbers 20:2  There was no water for the people to drink at that place, so they rebelled against Moses and Aaron.  (see verses 1-13)

Joshua 5:6  The Israelites had traveled in the wilderness for forty years until all the men who were old enough to fight in battle when they left Egypt had died. For they had disobeyed the LORD, and the LORD vowed he would not let them enter the land he had sworn to give them--a land flowing with milk and honey.  (see all chapter 5)

 

"LORD, help!" they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress. 

Joshua 24:7  "When your ancestors cried out to the LORD, I put darkness between you and the Egyptians. I brought the sea crashing down on the Egyptians, drowning them. With your very own eyes you saw what I did. Then you lived in the wilderness for many years."  (see verses 1-28)

Nehemiah 9:9  "You saw the misery of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cries from the Red Sea."  (see verses 1-21)

Psalm 6:4  

Return, O LORD, and rescue me.

    Save me because of your unfailing love.  (see all Psalm 6)

Psalm 34:17  

The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help.

    He rescues them from all their troubles.  (see all Psalm 34)

Psalm 50:15  

"Then call on me when you are in trouble,

    and I will rescue you,

    and you will give me glory."  (see all Psalm 50)
