Then
Jesus presented them with a question. "Why is it," he asked, "that the
Messiah is said to be the son of David? For David himself wrote in the
book of Psalms: 'The LORD said to my Lord, sit in the place of honor at
my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under
your feet.' Since David called the Messiah 'Lord,' how can the Messiah
be his son?"
"Since David called the Messiah 'Lord,' how can the Messiah be his son?"
Matthew 22:45 "Since David called the Messiah 'my Lord,' how can the Messiah be his son?" (see Mark 12:37)
Acts 7:55-56 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and he saw Jesus standing in the place of honor at God's right hand. And he told them, "Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing in the place of honor at God's right hand!" (see all chapter 7)
Romans 1:3-4 The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David's family line, and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. (see verses 1-7)
Ephesians 1:19-22 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe in him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else--not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the Church. (see verses 3-23)
Hebrews 1:3-4 The Son radiates God's own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names. (see verses 1-14)
