Luke 21:10-11 Part 2 of 2

Then he added, "Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs from heaven."

"and there will be terrifying things"

Isaiah 19:17  Just to speak the name of Israel will terrorize them, for the LORD of Heaven's Armies has laid out his plans against them. (see chapter 19)

Luke 21:26  "People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken."

Joel 2:30-31  "And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on earth--blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will become dark and the moon will turn blood red before the great and terrible day of the LORD arrives."

Matthew 16:1  One day the Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus, demanding that he show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove his authority. (see also Mark 8:11, Luke 11:16)

Luke 21:25  "And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring sea and strange tides."

Revelation 12:1-4  Then I witnessed in heaven an event of great significance. I saw a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant, and she cried out because of her labor pains and the agony of giving birth. Then I witnessed in heaven another significant event. I saw a large red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, with seven crowns on his heads. His tail swept away one-third of the stars in the sky, and he threw them to the earth. He stood in front of the woman as she was about to give birth, ready to devour her baby as soon as it was born.

Revelation 13:12-13  He exercised all the authority of the first beast. And he required all the earth and its people to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. He did astounding miracles, even making fire flash down to earth from the sky while everyone was watching. (see verses 11-18)

Revelation 15:1  Then I saw in heaven another marvelous event of great significance. Seven angels were holding the seven last plagues, which would bring God's wrath to completion. (see chapters 15 -16)
