Psalm 113:5-9 Part 2 of 2

Who can be compared with the LORD our God,
    who is enthroned on high?
He stoops to look down
    on heaven and on earth.
He lifts the poor from the dust
and the needy from the garbage dump.
He sets them among princes,
even the princes of his own people!
He gives the childless woman a family,
    making her a happy mother.
Praise the LORD!

He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among the princes, even the princes of his own people!
1 Samuel 2:8

and the needy from the garbage dump.
He sets them among princes,
placing them in seats of honor.
For all the earth is the LORD's,
and he has set the world in order."  (see 1 Samuel 2:1-11)
Psalm 68:10

2 Samuel 9:11  Ziba replied, "Yes, my lord the king; I am your servant, and I will do all that you have commanded." And from that time on, Mephibosheth ate regularly at David's table, like one of the king's own sons.
(see all 2 Samuel 9)

"He never takes his eyes off the innocent,
but he sets them on thrones with kings
and exalts them forever."  (see all Job 36)

He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the LORD!
1 Samuel 2:5
"Those who were well fed are now starving,
and those who were starving are now full.
The childless woman now has seven children,
and the woman with many children wastes away.  (see 1 Samuel 2:1-11)
Isaiah 54:1
"Sing, O childless woman,
you who have never given birth!
Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem,
you who have never been in labor.
For the desolate woman now has more children
than the woman who lives with her husband,"
says the LORD.  (see all Isaiah 54)
