Psalm 115:1

Not to us, O LORD, not to us,

    but to your name goes all the glory

    for your unfailing love and faithfulness. 

 

Exodus 34:6  The LORD passed in front of Moses, calling out,

    "Yahweh! The LORD!

        The God of compassion and mercy!

    I am slow to anger

Numbers 14:18  " 'The LORD is slow to anger and filled with unfailing love, forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion. But he does not excuse the guilty. Honor the LORD, you heavenly beings;

    honor the LORD for his glory and strength.

Honor the LORD for the glory of his name.

Psalm 86:15  

But you, O LORD,

    are a God of compassion and mercy,

slow to get angry

Give to the LORD the glory he deserves!

    Bring your offering and come into his courts.

Worship the LORD in all his holy splendor.

Isaiah 48:11  

"I will rescue you for my sake--

    yes, for my own sake!

Ezekiel 36:22  "Therefore, give the people of Israel this message from the Sovereign LORD: I am bringing you back, but not because you deserve it. I am doing it to protect my holy name, on which you brought shame while you were scattered among the nations."
