Luke 3:4-6 Part 2 of 2

Isaiah had spoken of John when he said, "He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way for the LORD's coming! Clear the road for him! The valleys will be filled, and the mountains and hills made level. The curves will be straightened, and the rough places made smooth. And then all people will see the salvation sent from God.' "

Isaiah 40:4b  "Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places."

Isaiah 42:16  "I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them."

Isaiah 45:1-3  This is what the LORD says to Cyrus, his anointed one, whose right hand he will empower. Before him, mighty kings will be paralyzed with fear. Their fortress gates will be opened, never to shut again. This is what the LORD says: "I will go before you, Cyrus, and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. And I will give you treasure hidden in the darkness--secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name."

" 'And then all people will see the salvation sent from God.' " 

Luke 1:77  "You will tell his people how to find salvation through forgiveness of their sins."

Isaiah 52:10  The LORD has demonstrated his holy power before the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth will see the victory of our God.

Psalm 98:2-3  The LORD has announced his victory and has revealed his righteousness to every nation! He has remembered his promise to love and be faithful to Israel. The ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God.

Isaiah 40:5  "Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The LORD has spoken!"

Acts 28:28  "So I want you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles, and they will accept it."

Titus 2:11  For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.
