Luke 7:6-10

So Jesus went with them. But just before they arrived at the house, the officer sent some friends to say, "Lord, don't trouble yourself by coming to my home, for I am not worthy of such an honor. I am not even worthy to come and meet you. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, 'Go,' and they go, or 'Come,' and they come. And if I say to my slaves, 'Do this,' they do it." When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to the crowd that was following him, he said, "I tell you, I haven't seen faith like this in all Israel!" And when the officer's friends returned to his house, they found the slave completely healed.

"Lord, don't trouble yourself by coming to my home, for I am not worthy of such an honor."

Matthew 8:8a  But the officer said, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home."

Mark 5:35  While he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him, "Your daughter is dead. There's no use troubling the Teacher now." (see also Luke 8:49)   

 

"Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed."

Psalm 107:19-20  "Lord, help!" they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.

 

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed.

Mark 6:5-6a  And because of their unbelief, he couldn't do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them. And he was amazed at their unbelief. 

 

"I tell you, I haven't seen faith like this in all Israel!" 

Matthew 8:10b  Turning to those who were following him, he said, "I tell you the truth, I haven't seen faith like this in all Israel!"

Matthew 9:2  Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, "Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven." 

Matthew 15:28  "Dear woman," Jesus said to her, "your faith is great. Your request is granted." And her daughter was instantly healed.
