Luke 6:12-16 Part 2 of 4

One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night. At daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles. Here are their names: Simon (whom he named Peter); Andrew (Peter's brother), James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon (who was called the zealot), Judas (son of James), Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed him).

At daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles.

Matthew 10:1  Jesus called his twelve disciples together and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness.

Mark 3:13-15  Afterward Jesus went up on a mountain and called out the ones he wanted to go with him. And they came to him. Then he appointed twelve of them and called them  his apostles. They were to accompany him, and he would send them out to preach, giving them authority to cast out demons.

Luke 9:1  One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases.

Acts 1:1-2  In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach until the day he was taken up to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit.
