Habakkuk 1:3-4 Part 2 of 2

Must I forever see these evil deeds? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight. The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts. The wicked far outnumber the righteous, so that justice has become perverted.

Psalm 119:126  LORD, it is time for you to act, for these evil people have violated your instructions.

Isaiah 5:23  They take bribes to let the wicked go free, and they punish the innocent. (see verses 18-30)

Isaiah 59:4  No one cares about being fair and honest. The people's lawsuits are based on lies. They conceive evil deeds and then give them birth. (see verses 1-21)

 

The wicked far outnumber the righteous, so that justice has become perverted.

Amos 5:7  You twist justice, making it a bitter pill for the oppressed. You treat the righteous like dirt.

Amos 5:10  How you hate honest judges! How you despise people who tell the truth!

Amos 5:12-13  For I know the vast number of your sins and the depths of your rebellions. You oppress good people by taking bribes and deprive the poor of justice in the courts. So those who are smart will keep their mouths shut, for it is an evil time. (see verses 1-27)

Psalm 58:1-2  Justice--do you rulers know the meaning of the word? Do you judge the people fairly? No! You plot injustice in your hearts. You spread violence throughout the land. (see verses 1-11)

Psalm 94:20-21  Can unjust leaders claim that God is on their side--leaders whose decrees permit injustice? They gang up against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. (see verses 1-23)

Isaiah 59:14-15  Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked. The LORD looked and was displeased to find there was no justice. (see verses 1-21, also 1:23, 10:1-2)
