Psalm 119:1-8 Part 2

            ALEPH

Joyful are people of integrity,

    who follow the instructions of the LORD.

Joyful are those who obey his laws

    and search for him with all their hearts.

They do not compromise with evil,

    and they walk only in his paths.

You have charged us

    to keep your commandments carefully.

Oh, that my actions would consistently

    reflect your decrees! 

Then I will not be ashamed

    when I compare my life with your commands.

As I learn your righteous regulations,

    I will thank you by living as I should!

I will obey your decrees.

    Please don't give up on me! 

 

Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts.

Deuteronomy 4:29  

"But from there you will search again for the LORD your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him."

Deuteronomy 10:12  

"And now Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul."

Psalm 112:1  

Praise the LORD!

How joyful are those who fear the LORD

    and delight in obeying his commands.  (see all Psalm 112)

1 Chronicles 16:11  

Search for the LORD and for his strength;

    continually seek him.  (see 1 Chronicles 16:7-35)

Psalm 40:16  

But may all who search for you

    be filled with joy and gladness in you.

May those who love your salvation

    repeatedly shout, "The LORD is great!"  (see all Psalm 40)

Isaiah 56:1-2  

    This is what the LORD says:

"Be just and fair to all.

    Do what is right and good,

for I am coming soon to rescue you

    and to display my righteousness among you.

Blessed are all those

    who are careful to do this.

Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath days of rest

    and keep themselves from doing wrong."  (see Isaiah 56:1-8)
