Psalm 119:33-40 Part 3

                    HE
Teach me your decrees, O LORD;
    I will keep them to the end.
Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions;
    I will put them into practice with all my heart.
Make me walk along the path of your commands,
    for that is where my happiness is found.
Give me an eagerness for your laws
    rather than a love for money!
Turn my eyes from worthless things,
    and give me life through your word.
Reassure me of your promise,
    made to those who fear you.
Help me abandon my shameful ways;
    for your regulations are good.
I long to obey your commandments!
    Renew my life with your goodness.

Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.
Psalm 71:20
You have allowed me to suffer much hardship,
    but you will restore me to life again
    and lift me up from the depths of the earth.  (see all Psalm 71)
Psalm 119:9
How can a young person stay pure?
    By obeying your word.
Psalm 119:25
I lie in the dust;
    revive me by your word.
Isaiah 33:15-16a
Those who are honest and fair,
    who refuse to profit by fraud,
    who stay far away from bribes,
who refuse to listen to those who plot murder
    who shut their eyes to all enticement to do wrong--
these are the ones who will dwell on high.  (see all Isaiah 33)

Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you.
2 Samuel 7:25
    "And now, O LORD God, I am your servant; do as you have promised concerning me and my family. Confirm it as a promise that will last forever."
(see all 2 Samuel 7)
Numbers 23:19
"God is not a man, so he does not lie.
    He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
    Has he ever promised and not carried it through?"  (see Numbers 22-24)
