Psalm 119:9-16 Part 8

            BETH
How can a young person stay pure?
    By obeying your word.
I have tried hard to find you--
don't let me wander from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
I praise you, O LORD;
    teach me your decrees.
I have recited aloud
all the regulations you have given us.
I have rejoiced in your laws
    as much as in riches.
I will study your commandments
    and reflect on your ways.
I will delight in your decrees
    and not forget your word.

I will delight in your decrees and not forget your word.
Psalm 119:93
I will never forget your commandments,
for by them you give me life.
Psalm 112:1
Praise the LORD!
How joyful are those who fear the LORD
and delight in obeying his commands.  (see all Psalm 112)
Isaiah 55:11
"It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it."  (see all Isaiah 55)
Matthew 4:4
But Jesus told him, "No! The Scriptures say,
'People do not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "
        (see Matthew 4:1-11)
Ephesians 6:17
Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  (see Ephesians 6:10-20)
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thought and desires.  (see Hebrews 4:12-13)
James 1:22
But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.  (see James 1:19-27)
