Psalm 119:17-24 Part 1

            GIMEL
Be good to your servant,
    that I may live and obey your word.
Open my eyes to see
    the wonderful truths in your instructions.
I am only a foreigner in the land.
    Don't hide your commands from me!
I am always overwhelmed
    with a desire for your regulations.
You rebuke the arrogant,
    those who wander from your commands are cursed.
Don't let them scorn and insult me,
    for I have obeyed your laws.
Even princes sit and speak against me,
    but i will meditate on your decrees.
Your laws please me,
    they give me wise advice.

Be good to your servant, that I may live and obey your word.
Psalm 13:6
I will sing to the LORD
    because he is good to me.  [see all Psalm 13]
Psalm 116:7
Let my soul be at rest again,
    for the LORD has been good to me.  [see all Psalm 116]
Psalm 119:67
I used to wander off until you disciplined me;
    but now I closely follow your word.  [see Psalm 119:65-72]

Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions.
Psalm 119:34
Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions;
    I will put them into practice with all my heart.  [see Psalm 119:33-40]
1 Corinthians 2:9-10, 12
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
    "No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
        and no mind has imagined
    what God has prepared
        for those who love him."  [Isaiah 54:4]
    But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God's deep secrets. ... And we have received God's Spirit (not the world's spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.  [see 1 Corinthians 2:6-16]
