Psalm 119:1-8 Part 4

            ALEPH

Joyful are people of integrity,

    who follow the instructions of the LORD.

Joyful are those who obey his laws

    and search for him with all their hearts.

They do not compromise with evil,

    and they walk only in his paths.

You have charged us

    to keep your commandments carefully.

Oh, that my actions would consistently

    reflect your decrees! 

Then I will not be ashamed

    when I compare my life with your commands.

As I learn your righteous regulations,

    I will thank you by living as I should!

I will obey your decrees.

    Please don't give up on me!

Deuteronomy 4:13-14

"He proclaimed his covenant--the Ten Commandments--which he commanded you to keep, and which he wrote on two stone tablets. It was at that time that the LORD commanded me to teach you his decrees and regulations so you would obey them in the land you are about to enter and occupy."

Deuteronomy 6:17  

"You must diligently obey the commands of the LORD your God--all the laws and decrees he has given you."  (see all Deuteronomy 6)

Psalm 103:17-18  

But the love of the LORD remains forever

    with those who fear him.

His salvation extends to the children's children

    of those who are faithful to his covenant,

    of those who obey his commands.  (see all Psalm 103)

Psalm 119:55-56  

I reflect at night on who you are, O LORD;

    therefore, I obey your instructions.

This is how I spend my life:

    obeying your commandments.  (see Psalm 119:49-56)
