Luke 5:17-20 Part 1 of 3

One day while Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of religious law were sitting nearby. (It seemed that these men showed up from every village in all Galilee and Judea, as well as from Jerusalem.) And the Lord's healing power was strongly with Jesus. Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a sleeping mat. They tried to take him inside to Jesus, but they couldn't reach him because of the crowd. So they went up on the roof and took off some tiles. Then they lowered the sick man on his mat down into the crowd, right in front of Jesus. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, "Young man, your sins are forgiven."

One day while Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of religious law were sitting nearby.
Matthew 15:1  Some Pharisees and teachers of religious law now arrived from Jerusalem to see Jesus.
Luke 2:46  Three days later they finally discovered him in the Temple, sitting among the religious teachers, listening to them and asking questions.
Acts 5:34-35  But one member, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, who was an expert in religious law and respected by all the people, stood up and ordered that the men be sent outside the council chamber for awhile. Then he said to his colleagues, "Men of Israel, take care what you are planning to do to these men!"
1 Timothy 1:6-7  But some people have missed this whole point. [verse 5] They have turned away from these things and spend their time in meaningless discussions. They want to be known as teachers of the law of Moses, but they don't know what they are talking about, even though they speak so confidently.

And the Lord's healing power was strongly with Jesus.
Mark 5:30  Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my robe?"
Luke 6:19  Everyone tried to touch him, because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone.
Luke 8:46  But Jesus said, "Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me."

Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a sleeping mat.
Mark 2:3  ... four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat.
Mark 6:55  ... and they ran throughout the whole area, carrying sick people on mats to wherever they heard he was.
