Luke 5:8-11 Part 2 of 3

When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, "Oh Lord, please leave me--I'm too much of a sinner to be around you." For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed. Jesus replied to Simon, "Don't be afraid! From now on you'll be fishing for people!"  And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.

"Don't be afraid! From now on you'll be fishing for people!"
Luke 2:9-10  Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them. They were terrified but the angel reassured them. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people."
Acts 18:9  One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, "Don't be afraid! Speak out! Don't be silent!"
Acts 23:11  That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said, "Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well."
Revelation 1:17  When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, "Don't be afraid! I am the First and the Last."

As soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus
Luke 5:28  So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him.
Luke 18:28  Peter said, "We've left our homes to follow you."
Matthew 4:19-22  Jesus called out to them, "Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!" And they left their nets at once and followed him. A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father Zebedee, repairing their nets. And he called them to come, too. They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind.
