Luke 5:17-20 Part 2 of 3

One day while Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of religious law were sitting nearby. (It seemed that these men showed up from every village in all Galilee and Judea, as well as from Jerusalem.) And the Lord's healing power was strongly with Jesus. Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a sleeping mat. They tried to take him inside to Jesus, but they couldn't reach him because of the crowd. So they went up on the roof and took off some tiles. Then they lowered the sick man on his mat down into the crowd, right in front of Jesus. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, "Young man, your sins are forgiven."

So they went up on the roof and took off some tiles.

Mark 2:4a   They couldn't bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above his head.

Then they lowered the sick man on his mat down into the crowd, right in front of Jesus. 

Mark 2:4b  Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus.

Seeing their faith, 

Matthew 8:10  When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, "I tell you the truth, I haven't seen faith like this in all Israel!" [see also Luke 7:9]

Matthew 8:13  Then Jesus said to the Roman Officer, "Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened." And the young servant was healed that same hour. [see also Luke 7:10]

Matthew 9:22  Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, "Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well." And the woman was healed at that moment. 

Matthew 9:29  Then he touched their eyes and said, "Because of your faith, it will happen."

Matthew 15:28  "Dear woman," Jesus said to her, "your faith is great. Your request is granted." And her daughter was instantly healed.

Mark 10:52  And Jesus said to him, "Go, for your faith has healed you." Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road. [see also Luke 18:42]

Luke 17:19  And Jesus said to the man, "Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you."

Acts 3:16  "Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed--and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus' name has healed him before your very eyes."
