Luke 5:8-11 Part 1 of 3

When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, "Oh Lord, please leave me--I'm too much of a sinner to be around you." For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed. Jesus replied to Simon, "Don't be afraid! From now on you'll be fishing for people!"  And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.

"Oh Lord, please leave me--I'm too much of a sinner to be around you."
Genesis 18:27  Then Abraham spoke again. "Since I have begun, let me speak further to my Lord, even though I am but dust and ashes."
Job 42:6  "I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance."

"Don't be afraid! From now on you'll be fishing for people!" 
Matthew 14:27  But Jesus spoke to them at once. "Don't be afraid," he said. "Take courage. I am here!"

Matthew 17:7  Then Jesus came over and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid."

Luke 1:13  But the angel said, "Don't be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John."
Luke 1:30  "Don't be afraid, Mary," the angel told her, "for you have found favor with God!"
