Joseph ("God will increase") was the son of Heli.

Melea ("supplying, supplied") was the son of Menna.

Menna ("gift of God") was the son of Mattatha.

Mattatha ("givingness, his gift") was the son of Nathan.

Nathan ("he gave, gift of God") was the son of David.
