Luke 4:25-27

"Certainly there were many needy widows in Israel in Elijah's time, when the heavens were closed for three and a half years, and a severe famine devastated the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them. He was sent instead to a foreigner--a widow of Zarephath in the land of Sidon. And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, but the only one healed was Naaman, a Syrian."

"when the heavens were closed for three and a half years, and a severe famine devastated the land."
1 Kings 17:1  Now Elijah, who was from Tishbe in Gilead, told King Ahab, "As surely as the LORD, the God of Israel lives--the God I serve--there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word!"
1 Kings 18:1  Later on, in the third year of the drought, the LORD said to Elijah, "Go and present yourself to King Ahab. Tell him that I will soon send rain."
James 5:7-8  Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.
Revelation 11:6  They (the two prophets/witnesses) have power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall for as long as they prophesy. And they have the power to turn the rivers and oceans into blood, and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.

"He was sent instead to a foreigner--a widow of Zarephath in the land of Sidon."
1 Kings 17:8-9  Then the LORD said to Elijah, "Go live in the village of Zarephath, near the city of Sidon. I have instructed a widow there to feed you." (see verses 8-24)
Matthew 11:21  "What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show remorse."
Matthew 15:21  Then Jesus left Galilee and went north to the region of Tyre and Sidon.

"but the only one healed was Naaman, a Syrian."
2 Kings 5:1  The king of Aram had great admiration for Naaman, the commander of his army, because through him the LORD had given Aram great victories. But though Naaman was a mighty warrior, he suffered from leprosy. (see verses 1-27)
2 Kings 5:14  So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed him. And his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child, and he was healed!
