Luke 4:33-35 Part 1 of 2

Once when he was in the synagogue, a man possessed by a demon--an evil spirit--began shouting at Jesus, "Go away! Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!" Jesus cut him short. "Be quiet! Come out of the man," he ordered. At that, the demon threw the man to the floor as the crowd watched; then it came out of him without hurting him further.

"Go away! Why are you interfering with us,"
Matthew 8:28-29  When Jesus arrived on the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gadarenes, two men who were possessed by demons met him. They lived in a cemetery and were so violent that no one could go through that area. They began screaming at him, "Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God's appointed time?"

"Jesus of Nazareth?"
Matthew 2:23  So the family went and lived in a town called Nazareth. This fulfilled what the prophets had said, "He will be called a Nazarene."
Luke 24:18-19  Then one of them said, "You must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn't heard about all the things that have happened there the last few days."  "What things?" Jesus asked. "The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth," they said. "He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people."
John 1:45-46  Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him, "We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth."  "Nazareth!" exclaimed Nathanael. "Can anything good come from Nazareth?"  "Come and see for yourself," Philip replied.

"Have you come to destroy us?"
2 Peter 2:4  For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment.
Luke 8:31  The demons kept begging Jesus not to send them to the bottomless pit.
Revelation 20:1-3  Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand. He seized the dragon--that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan--and bound him in chains for a thousand years. The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while.
