Malachi 3:1 Part 1 of 2

"Look! I am sending my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. Then the LORD you are seeking will suddenly come to his Temple. The messenger of the covenant, whom you look for so eagerly, is surely coming," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies.

 

"Look! I am sending my messenger,"

2 Chronicles 36:15  The LORD, the God of their ancestors, repeatedly sent his prophets to warn them, for he had compassion on his people and his Temple. (see verses 11-21)

Haggai 1:13  Then Haggai, the LORD's messenger, gave the people this message from the LORD: "I am with you, says the LORD!" (see all chapter 1)

Isaiah 44:26  

        "But I carry out the predictions of my prophets!

            By them I say to Jerusalem, 'People will live here again,'

        and to the towns of Judah, 'You will be rebuilt;

            I will restore all your ruins!' " (see verses 21-28)

Jeremiah 7:25  "From the day your ancestors left Egypt until now, I have continued to send my servants, the prophets--day in and day out." (see verses 16-29)

Zechariah 1:4  "Don't be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, 'This is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies says: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practices.' " (see verses 1-6)

Isaiah 40:3  Listen! It's the voice of someone shouting, 

        "Clear the way through the wilderness for the LORD! 

        Make a straight highway through the wasteland 

            for our God!" (see verses 1-5)

Matthew 3:3  The prophet Isaiah was speaking about John when he said,

        "He is a voice shouting in the wilderness,

        'Prepare the way for the LORD's coming!

            Clear the road for him!' " (see verses 1-12)

Luke 1:76  

        "And you, my little son, 

            will be called the prophet of the Most High,

            because you will prepare the way for the Lord." (see verses 67-80)

John 1:23  John replied in the words of the prophet Isaiah:

        "I am the voice shouting in the wilderness,

            'Clear the way for the Lord's coming!' " (see verses 19-28)

Matthew 11:10  "John is the man to whom the Scriptures refer when they say,

        'Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you,

            and he will prepare your way before you.' " (see verses 2-9)

Mark 1:1-2  This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God. It began just as the prophet Isaiah had written:

        "Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you,

            and he will prepare your way." (see verses 1-8)

John 7:27  "John is the man to whom the Scriptures refer when they say,

        'Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you,

            and he will prepare your way before you.' " (see verses 18-30)
