Malachi 3:6-7 Part 1 of 2

"I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed. Ever since the days of your ancestors, you have scorned my decrees and failed to obey them. Now return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies.

"But you ask, 'How can we return when we have never gone away?' "

 

"I am the LORD, and I do not change."

Numbers 23:19  "God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?" (see verses 13-26)

1 Samuel 15:29  "And he who is the Glory of Israel will not lie, nor will he change his mind, for he is not human that he should change his mind!" (see all chapter 15)

Jeremiah 26:3  "Perhaps they will listen and turn from their evil ways. Then I will change my mind about the disaster I am ready to pour out on them because of their sins." (see all chapter 26)

Hosea 11:9-10

        "No, I will not unleash my fierce anger.

            I will not completely destroy Israel,

        for I am God and not a mere mortal.

            I am the Holy One living among you,

            and I will not come to destroy.

        For someday the people will follow me.

            I, the LORD, will roar like a lion.

        And when I roar,
